One-on-one ACT and SAT Tutoring

One-on-one tutoring is the most effective way to improve student scores.  At Succeed, we pride ourselves on our ability to guarantee student score improvement using this powerful tool.  SAT/ACT tutoring with Succeed is an investment which pays dividends not only in college admission but also, as a result, throughout the rest of the student's life.  Here is how it works:

We will meet with both student and parents for a free consultation.  During this hour long session, we will discuss current performance, goals, timeline, and some different approaches that we've implemented with other student's.

If you decide to move on with the process, we will discuss timeline and budget, obtain any past scores, and, if necessary, ask your student to take diagnostic exam.  With this info in hand, we will then build a custom program for your review.  If you then wish to purchase tutoring hours, we will offer various packages starting with a minimum of 12 hours and adjust the proposed curriculum to the allotted time.

We will adjust the program after each session to ensure that we stay on target.  Programs can also be expanded to included more review prior to test day or any other client needs.  At all stages, we keep in close contact with the parents and students - all parties know where we stand and where we are headed.

Small-group Lessons

The value of small class sizes is emphasized again and again in research literature regarding education and learning.  Our competitors offer classes with no fewer than 10 students per teacher (usually there are 15 or 20 per class).  Such an environment is simply not effective in producing student improvements.  At Succeed, we arrange for small classes of three to five students.  In such an environment, we are able to understand the goals, current skill set, progress, and pathway to a higher score for each student.

Classes generally meet two to four times per week for several week prior to a national testing date.  Some of our students use this as a way get in some last minute practice and review.  We highly recommend that students use this option prior to testing and after a more rigorous tutoring program for additional review and fine tuning of skills which they have already acquired.  The curriculum of each course is modified to best fit the aggregate of the profiles of the students enrolled in that course.  As always, we remain available by email to answer any questions related to home work or course work.

Such classes are available based on demand, and generally take place in rented classroom space at locations such as schools, churches, and hotel conference rooms.  If you are interested in such an option, please send me an email so that we can discuss availability.
